ABOUT THE EVENT:
Friday Night Live is a free evening series that takes place every summer from 5 pm to 10 pm. This year, we’re expanding the series into six themed Friday nights, July 10 to August 14, creating a more consistent weekly draw for downtown businesses, residents, and visitors.
Each night features a unique experience—such as Movie Night, Food Trucks, and Live Local Music—bringing a variety of experiences that appeal to different audiences and keep people coming back week after week.
Center Street and Merchants Row are blocked off for the evening, and vendors set up along the streets in an open-air fashion while visitors enjoy a featured experience, outdoor dining, children's activities, and more. Each night of the series brings thousands of people to Downtown Rutland, Vermont!
Important Info
Merchants submitting this form agree to be open and/or set up on outside by 5 pm. We strongly suggest having a tent or signage to direct Friday Night Live attendees to your storefront or to offer special promotions. Center Street and Merchants Row will be closed by 3 pm each evening. All parked vehicles must be removed from the street by that time. Only vehicles used for setup will be allowed in after.
As always, we are working to fill all available street space. If you are not actively participating, please be aware that we will fill the space outside your business with another vendor, tables, and chairs for dining, games, or other activities unless you make a special request. If there is a way we can assist you — for instance, by providing tables and chairs for your customers — please let us know. We want to make these events a wonderful experience for downtown entities and the community, and your cooperation will help make this possible. Do not invite outside parties to set up in your storefront space without letting us know in advance. You are welcome to invite vendors you like to be a part of Friday Night Live by having them fill out a vendor application online.
How to Participate
Let us know how we can help you make these events successful for your business! We ask that you:
Set up your booth outside of your business or in the space assigned to you by 5 pm.
Have a professional, clean, and inviting presence.
If serving alcohol on the street, please make sure to obtain an Outdoor Consumption Permit.
If power is required, we ask that you provide your own from within the business.
Please submit this form to be included in Friday Night Live.
