Parking in Downtown Rutland

There are a number of off-street parking spaces, 2-hour and 10-hour meters, and handicapped spaces in addition to the affordable Laz Parking Garage on West Street. Whether you plan to stay for a short or extended period of time, we have you covered.

LAZ Parking Garage

The Laz Parking Garage, located at 102 West Street, is a secured, clean facility open 24/7 with camera surveillance and a full staff on weekdays from 7am - 11pm that is covered from extreme weather conditions.

If you choose to park at the parking garage, the first 30 minutes are free! An hour is $1, two hours is $2, or you can park all day for $3. If you park after 5pm there is a $2 flat rate for the whole night. Credit cards are the only form of accepted payment at the facility, and monthly parking passes can be purchased at a discounted rate.

The overhead garage doors at the top of the ramp automatically open and close as vehicles approach the doors upon entrance and exit between the hours of 11pm and 7am. During this time parkers must use their monthly parking pass, daily parking ticket or validation to enter the Center Street Hallway by swiping either of them at the card reader, located on the ground floor outside the Center Street Hallway entrance on Center Street or South Tower door under the parking garage. 24/7 Customer Care is available by calling (802) 282-4125.

On Street Parking

If you choose to park on the street, parking is enforced from 8am - 6pm on Mondays through Fridays. If you park at a metered space with a Parking Kiosk, be prepared to enter your license plate number. Parking kiosks accept debit/credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) and coins, but no bills. There is a 2-hour minimum ($3) when using cards.

Long Term Parking

Long term parking is available in the LAZ Parking Garage and in designated lots. Monthly rates at the LAZ Parking Garage are $55/month (an average of $2/day) or $45 per month for Chamber and Economic Development of the Rutland Region members.

Lot parking permits are available at the Rutland City Treasurer’s Office at City Hall at 1 Strongs Avenue.
