About Friday Night Live

Friday Night Live returns in 2026 with an exciting new format! Reimagined as a six-week summer series, this beloved community tradition will now feature six themed Friday nights hosted in Downtown Rutland. Creating a vibrant and welcoming gathering space for our community.

This free evening series will take place from 5pm to 10pm every Friday night from July 10th to August 14th. Each week features a unique experience—such as Live Local Music and Food Trucks—bringing a variety of family-friendly experiences.

Center Street and Merchants Row are blocked off for the evening, and vendors set up along the streets in an open-air fashion while visitors enjoy a featured experience, outdoor dining, children's activities, and more.

Reimagining Friday Night Live for Downtown Rutland

In past years, Friday Night Live focused on two to three large-scale concert events each summer. This year, we are expanding the series into six themed Friday nights running from July 10 through August 14, creating a consistent weekly attraction for downtown businesses, residents, and visitors.

Hosted in Downtown Rutland, the reimagined Friday Night Live will create vibrant and welcoming gathering spaces while encouraging attendees to explore downtown, shop local, and dine at our restaurants before, during, and after each event.

Rather than focusing exclusively on major concerts, each Friday night will feature its own unique theme and activities, including:

• Food trucks

• Live local music

• Family-friendly activities

• Interactive community experiences

This new format will help create:

• More consistent foot traffic throughout the summer

• Diverse experiences for families, residents, and visitors

• Increased opportunities for local businesses to benefit from repeat attendance

• A stronger sense of community connection in Downtown Rutland

While the format may look different, the goal remains the same: to bring people downtown, support local businesses, and create memorable summer evenings in the heart of our city.
