Celebrate the Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting on Nov. 24

Come to Depot Park for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting presented by Heritage Family Credit Union.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., grab a free cup of hot cocoa from Mission City Church and enjoy a performance of holiday carols before Santa arrives by firetruck at 6 p.m. to light the downtown Rutland holiday tree.

To light up the community even more, the WSYB Christmas Fund will be on site collecting donations to help local families in need during the holiday season.

The first 200 attendees to arrive at the tree lighting will receive free holiday light specs and candy canes. Afterwards, take a walk around downtown Rutland to admire the festively decorated shop windows and vote for your favorite in the Holiday Window Contest.
