What is Google My Business?

Google My Business (GMB) is a free online tool for business owners that allows you to create, verify and edit a business listing in Google. Google developed this easy-to-use tool for the public to find information about businesses like yours quickly and conveniently. Your Google My Business listing manages your presence across a number of sites, including Google Search, Mobile Search, Local Search and Google Maps

Why should I use Google My Business?

Your GMB listing enables your business to appear in local search results for queries specific to your products or services. Google My Business displays your business’s address, opening hours and contact information without the need for someone to click through to your website or social media. Most websites and directories populate their information based off of what is listed on Google so it’s very important to keep this listing up-to-date!

How do I set up Google My Business?

Start by searching for your business in Google. Does a listing show up? If yes, you need to claim your business on Google. If not, you need to add your business to Google. How do I VERIFY MY BUSINESS?

To make sure your business information is accurate and that only you, the business owner or manager, has access to it, Google must verify your business. You can choose to do this by by mail, emailphone, or Search Console. Learn how to verify your business in the video below.
