How to: Sell on Facebook Live

How to Sell on Facebook Live

  1. Pick a date and time. When are your customers engaging with your Facebook Page. Check your Facebook analytics to for audience metrics. Consider making a Facebook event a few days before you go live so that people know when to tune in.

  2. Schedule a team to help. Having at least one addition person available to answer questions or comments while you are on video can be helpful. Make sure to limit any distractions before you record or have someone to take care of them when you’re live.

  3. Determine the purpose + goal. What are you looking to sell? How many products do you want to sell? Do you want to showcase new merchandise or discounted merchandise? Ask yourself these questions.

  4. Promote it as much as possible. Start promotion at least a week before you go live and continue promoting through the day of.

  5. Figure out payment strategy. Send a direct message, call on the phone, send a digital invoice or payment link - whatever works best for your business.

  6. Organize what you’re selling.

    • Make index cards with a designated number and price (write descriptions and bullet points on the back)

    • Utilize this virtual showcase as an opportunity to educate your audience about your brand and the benefits of your product

  7. Go Live. Show and tell your products then sell away!
