Proposed City Sign Ordinance Update

In April, Rutland City's Planning Commission held a public meeting to share a sign ordinance update they had drafted. This was an opportunity for community members and business owners to give feedback to their proposal and gain a better sense of what the planning commission envisions for signage throughout the city.

The area least effected by these changes is Downtown Rutland. Much of the focus is on the main travel routes of Route 7 and Route 4.

While there is not a clear timeline for moving forward with the proposal, a series of future meetings and debates will likely occur before anything is ready for a vote.
