DRP celebrates National Women's History Month

MArch 3, 2023

Since 1987 when March was officially declared National Women’s History Month by Congress, women and girls all over the US have been given their own platform to celebrate things that were previously overlooked. A new sense of comradery and sisterhood was created and allowed for so many to find common ground to rise against civil issues. Although this recognition and celebration of women should be applauded, there is still a long way to go. Women of color, queer women, women in the workplace, and so many others are underrepresented and overshadowed time and time again. It is our job to remember the importance of the women in our lives and give them support all year long, not just in March. Downtown Rutland is honored to be represented by multiple women-owned businesses, and thanks you for your support of these strong, beautiful, and resilient women every day!
